My sincere congratulations to the Staff, their families and the members of The Board of HighChem R Ceylon Company (Private) Limited and HighChem R Trade Services (Private) Limited on the successful completion of 10 years in business. I am Indeed a very proud man and consider myself extremely fortunate to be in a position of strength and to be bestowed with this honour and privilege to express a few sentiments on This Historic occasion. 1 am blessed with a staff of men and women with the highest level of integrity, loyalty, commitment and dedication coupled with excellent Principals, Customers and Service Providers who have paved the way for lasting relationships. To me this is a dream come true and I am so very thankful to all these wonderful people who have mode HighChem R what it is today.

To my dear members of the staff present and past, I take this opportunity to publicly recognize ond appreciate all your hard and dedicated work. The success of HighChem R is You. It is You who hove been the link between the internal and external environments and it Is You who hove helped to convey the ideologies we preach and practice to reach the organization's ultimate goals and aspirations for which, I am deeply indebted. My sincere thanks to You for all your inputs and to your families for their patience and co-operation. As you know, the more the Company succeeds, the more You succeed and progress in life and this mile stone we have achieved, I am sure, will spur you even more to take the Company and Your selves to greater heights.
In 1997, 10 years ago, we commenced operations in Medical Diagnostics, Industrial Chemicals and Powder Coatings. Almost all products were from the de merged Hoechst AG. Ten years later we hove progressed to Medical Diagnostics/ Laboratory Equipment & Allied Products, Industrial Chemicals and Allied Products and Powder Coatings and Allied Products.

MD & AP Division - Apart from the routine serology, micro biology, tissue typing test kits being marketed, we now have kits for PCR techniques and laboratory equipment. We have over 40 semi automated Chemistry Analyzers and in January 2007 we installed 2 fully automated chemistry analyzers at Nawaloka/Metropolis Laboratory capable of conducting 1000 tests per hour. A special word of appreciation to our friends at Dade Behring India for oil their help and assistance. Hats off to Mr Dushantha Gunewardene and his Technical/ Commercial team for an excellent job. Well done!

IC & AP Division - Liquid Chlorine, Anhydrous Ammonio, Caustic Soda Micro Pearls and Glove Formers for the latex glove industry, Cellulose Sausage Casings, selective fluorescent pigments have been the main stay. We are in the process of having discussions with an Australian company marketing Isolated Soya Protein for the meat/food industry. Most interestingly, we have just embarked on a new product also for the meat/food industry ■ Liquid Smoke from Red Arrow, USA. This is natural smoke in liquid/powder form and the response received from our target customers hos been phenomenal. Thanks to Mr Anuruddha Samarakoon for sphere heading this operation successfully.

PC & AP Division - Herberts Powder Coatings and DuPont Powder Coatings since 1997 supplies Epoxy Polyester, Polyester and Polyethylene Powder Coatings to the steel and aluminium industries. To day, we ore in a position to offer any present or prospective customer a complete Powder Coating solution as we market pre treating chemicals from Metrit Industries India and Powder Coating equipment ex Mitsuba Systems India. Mr Sylvester Pereara is responsible for the division's performance and has to be commended for his untiring efforts. However, both Sylvester and Anuruddha have been trained in India and work synergistically for pre treating chemicals.

Administration and Marketing Operations - A big thank you to Mrs Nelum Jayawardena for
being with the company from the very inception. I also appreciate her efforts in not only maintaining discipline, decorum ond ensuring the smooth functioning of the Organization but olso for the fact that she has utilized her vast experience and maturity to be a tower of strength in all our activities. My best wishes for another ten years and more.

Finance - Mrs Poojya Wasalatantri joined us two months and seventeen days after we commenced operations as an accounting student. Over the years, we have seen her pursue her studies successfully and to day for her to muster the support of her team and shoulder the responsibilities of an entire Finance operation is very satisfying and commendable. I thank you Poojya for being with the Company for almost the entire 3 0 yrs and hope to have your services for many more years to come.

In 2003 we incorporated HighChem R Trade Services (Private) Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of HighChem R Ceylon Company (Private) Limited to carry out Clearing and Freight Forwarding of sea and air freight cargo. All the members of the staff are CHA, RPU and A pass holders. We submit our CUSDECs electronically and I am very pleased that we have been able to identify a few key accounts and carry out a very viable operation.

It is a truism that we have the most renowned products and services and it is olso true that we have the correct personnel. How-ever, all that is futile and we would have been a nonentity if not for an excellent customer base we have in all the segments we operate - Medical Diagnostics, Industrial Chemicols, Powder Coatings ond Clearing / Freight Forwarding. I wish to refrain from making any listings but to all our valued customers, on behalf of the Board of Directors ond my staff I thank you very very much for having patronized our products and services and being on integral part of helping us reach this mile stone. From us, be assured we will strive to serve you even better during the coming years.

To our wonderful Principals. Many thanks for your words of wisdom. As would the contents of most of these articles depict, our relationships to doy have blossomed more in to friendships rather than just a mere agreement between two organizations. May this grow from strength to strength! This has been possible only because our philosophies and business principles have matched and I am very grateful to all our partners for having the trust and confidence in us and also for having supported and co-operated with us at every given turn. On our part be assured we will do our best.

I wish to conclude this message by thanking our Secretaries, Bankers, Auditors, Service Providers and Friends of HighChem R for being with us during the post 10 years and I have all the confidence our association will grow even stronger in the coming years.

Finally, my thanks and very best wishes once again go out to my staff at HighChem R and HighChem RTrade and their families. I also thank the Board of Directors for their support ond encouragement.
